Protecting Youth. Empowering Voices. Preventing Abuse.
The Mission
Delivered Vessels, Inc. is a 501 c3 organization who prevents and protects youth from sexual abuse and exploitation by empowering them through trauma-informed education, advocacy, mental health support, and supportive services that strengthen safety, healing, healthy relationships, long-term well-being, and the courage to speak up.
Our History
Delivered Vessels, Inc. was founded on March 17, 2001 in Powder Springs, Georgia by Chandra Southern with a clear purpose to respond to the growing need for prevention, protection, and healing for youth impacted by sexual abuse and exploitation. What began as a grassroots effort to support vulnerable children has grown into a comprehensive organization serving youth, young adults, families, and communities through education, mentoring, advocacy, and supportive services. Since its founding, Delivered Vessels has remained focused on addressing the gaps that leave many cases undisclosed due to fear, stigma, and lack of safe support systems, particularly among youth in foster care and underserved communities. As we expand our reach across multiple states, our commitment remains the same to prevent harm, promote healing, and help youth build safe, stable, and empowered futures.
Words From Our Founder
Delivered Vessels, Inc. was born out of lived experience, faith, and an unwavering commitment to protect children and youth. In 2001, I founded Delivered Vessels in Powder Springs, Georgia after navigating my own personal journey and recognizing how often children suffer in silence. Over the years, I have encountered far too many young people whose lives were disrupted by sexual abuse, betrayal by trusted adults, or coercion into sexual exploitation. Each story reinforced my calling to create safe spaces where youth are believed, supported, educated, and empowered. Delivered Vessels exists to ensure that no child feels alone, powerless, or without a voice. Our work is rooted in prevention, awareness and advocacy, and the belief that healing and long term well being are possible when youth are surrounded by protection, education, and consistent support.
Through strong community partnerships, Delivered Vessels, Inc. provides ongoing workshops and activities that educate and strengthen youth and families. Our goal is to equip young people with essential life and interpersonal skills, restore hope, and empower them to move toward adulthood with confidence, independence, and a sense of accomplishment.
Delivered Vessels began as an outreach serving girls in the Metro Atlanta area impacted by child sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. Over time, the organization has grown into a multi-state movement advancing prevention, protection, and healing for all children, youth and young adults.
Guided by years of community service and the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and supporters, we remain committed to expanding our impact. We continue to strengthen our organizational infrastructure to deliver evidence informed programs that reduce youth vulnerability, provide child sexual abuse and exploitation prevention training, and host youth empowerment forums, while developing new prevention education initiatives nationwide.
As we move forward, your continued support helps us restructure the lives of youth through knowledge and empowerment. The impact we have made would not be possible without you, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to our mission.
We invite you to encourage others to join this work by making a contribution. On behalf of our Board of Directors, thank you for standing with us and supporting the youth and families we serve.
